Oh, dear readers. Let me tell ya a little something something. The Class of 2017 has been good to me. So very good to me. In the coming weeks I have what appears to be a never ending group of gorgeous girls and handsome fellas that help to make up the 2017 graduating class from Oak Harbor High School, Port Clinton High School, and various other Northwest Ohio High Schools! Hold on, because you are in for a fun and beautiful ride!
Today, I could not be more delighted to share a selection of images that showcases Anzlee's Summer Session. Anzlee is an up and coming 2017 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. I have been fortunate enough to work with Anzlee and her family on a few occasions since the beginning of Kelly Lindsay Photography and when Mom contacted me to schedule her oldest daughter's Senior Portraits I may have squealed ;)
Mom and Anzlee opted to split Anzlee's time with me up into two different sessions...a summer and fall session. This decision is an ongoing trend in the area of Senior Portraits and one that allows for a diverse collection of images in a Senior's final gallery. Anzlee (and her family!) love the beach so scheduling her summer session along the shores of Lake Erie was the perfect choice. I presented Anzlee's mom with a few area beaches local to Oak Harbor and we quickly decided East Harbor State Park in Port Clinton, Ohio would best fit our needs.
The evening of our session we had gorgeous weather accompanied by stunning light...two wins for any photographer! We quickly breezed thru Anzlee's 3 outfits in under an hour and even captured a handful of images with her handsome, funny boyfriend (NOW fiance...so happy for you two and your families). Anzlee started her session in a classically colored black and white dress. I loved the details along the hemline and sleeves that featured cutouts. A walkway towards the beach lined with tall grass was the great starting point for our session.
Before changing into her second outfit selection, we captured a few additional images as Anzlee sat among the larger rocks that line the shores of East Harbor beach. I absolutely adore the image below of her laughing! Fun fact! Literally 2-3 feet away from these rocks was a couple lounging along the shore. It didn't phase Anzlee a bit and that was another reason I enjoyed our time together so much.
For Anzlee's second outfit selection she wore a simple pair of jean shorts with a stylish tank top. The addition of the gold necklace was just the right touch for this ensemble. And why not go barefoot when on the beach? Or in my case? All of the time. Ha!
And would you have ever guessed there was a young boy sitting on top of the life guard stand in this image? Let's face it when you are shooting on location you run into "obstacles", but with very little effort we can always work around them ;)
For Anzlee's final outfit of her summer session she selected a beautiful black and white romper with thin straps. A pair of earrings and black sandals proved to be just the right accessories! We photographed this last set of images in my always favorite beach grass where Anzlee really stood out in front of the green background. A quick 360 turn and we captured her final remaining images in front of the water of Lake Erie.
Anzlee and family...I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to capture Anzlee's Senior Portraits! It is always a true pleasure to see all of you (or even a small sampling of your family ;) ). Anzlee, I wish you the very best in these final months of your Senior year at Oak Harbor High School! I look forward to following your future path and know for certain you will continue to bring joy and pride to your parents and family!
