Say hello to David...an upcoming 2016 Oak Harbor High School graduate! Talk about a fun senior session! I graduated with Mom & Dad and I can hardly believe their oldest is graduating! David just oozes personality and I am slightly disappointed one of his outfit selections was not the Uncle Eddie getup he has sported at an Oak Harbor High School basketball game ;) Super fun, right?!
We started David's session at a family friend's private residence here in Oak Harbor. David has spent a fair amount of time here...camping, playing corn hole, etc. I love shooting sessions (especially senior sessions) at locations that are special to my clients. Thankfully, Northwest Ohio is full of gorgeous locations...even quaint family farms! Can we talk about this chicken coop that was onsite? I have a "thing" for the color red and peeling paint so it was a must incorporating this building into David's session. His jeans and paid shirt were the perfect compliment to this specific location!
From there we headed to the Oak Harbor High School campus. David plays both baseball and football for Oak Harbor and it was important to both him and his Mom that his senior gallery reflected that. David was smart to bring his bat, we found a ball in the dugout (ha), and a vintage looking football. He paired each of his respective jerseys with a pair of jeans for a great look at each field. Throughout our session it was fun to hear traditions of the current teams including mascots and special places on the fields.
We ended David's session in dowtown Oak Harbor to capture a more urban vibe. Yes, urban in the little village of Oak Harbor, Ohio ;) I fell in love with this blue wall back in 2010 when I did a series of photos with my oldest two boys in front of it. David humored me for a few images with cars passing by before we ended our session in my favorite little alley. A pair of khaki shorts with two different shirts worked for this part of our session. David can thank me down the road for telling him no socks with shoes. Youarewelcomeverymuchkindsir.
Thank you David for choosing me for your Senior portraits. It was fun spending an evening with you, your mom, and Grandma! As you head to University of Toledo next year I know that greatness awaits you!
